Join our dedicated supporters on Tuesday November 3, 2009  and vote for JP Kwiecinski

I believe my background, experience and open leadership style will help to have more citizens become involved, participate, share their ideas and move Easthampton forward to the next level.

My political science degree combined with three terms on the city council go along well with seven years as an administrator for the University of Massachusetts  Medical Center where I worked with budgets, personnel policies and procedures, job descriptions, human resource issues, salaries and benefits.  Additionally, I have twenty five years experience working with people, negotiating what usually is their greatest financial asset, their home and other property.  I bring to the table a desire to work with people,  an ability to negotiate hard, yet with respect and to bring people together to reach a common goal. e JP

My name is JP Kwiecinski and I have lived in Easthampton for sixteen years. My family’s roots are grounded in this city. I have raised my children here, coached Little League and have volunteered at many community and school events. I have sold real estate for 25 years and have been a City Councilor for six years. I know and love this city; I know its people and have listened to their concerns and that is why
I Want to be Your Mayor!

I will fight for you to provide:
• Strong Public Safety Services,
• Quality Public Schools,
• Support for our Businesses,
• A Voice for Our Senior Citizens, and
• To Protect Our Environment.

We are facing tough economic times ahead and we need new energy and new ideas to see us through the next few years. We have many in this city who do not feel heard by the Mayor’s office and believe that their suggestions and needs fall on deaf ears. Additionally, too many people are sensing a loss of community. It is time to bring people together and remind ourselves of the things that make Easthampton great!
It is not time to “stay the course” but rather it is time for a mayor who listens to the people, one who cares and one who can lead us through these tough times while preserving and promoting the health of this city. It is time for responsible, experienced, and effective change!

Our city is not just about budgets: it is about people. As your mayor, I will focus on budgets and people;

I will be accountable and accessible; and will hear your ideas and your suggestions.

"I am proud to support and endorse James "JP" Kwiecinski as our next Mayor of Easthampton. I have closely observed JP's business and personnel skills while working together on the City Council, especially in the Finance Committee. He is a good listener, a very patient man, who gives all issues his complete attention for evaluation, no matter how easy or difficult the subject may be. I am confident that JP will represent our City with the best interests of it's citizens first and foremost. I look forward to his leadership.
When you support JP, you support Easthampton!"

Finance Subcommittee
City Councilor-at-Large

No Endorsement of Tautznik, says Representative Scibak and Senator Knapik

State Representative John Scibak and State Senator Michael Knapik both called the Kwiecinski campaign stating emphatically that they had made no endorsement of the incumbent. Without their permission, photos and names of the legislators were placed in an endorsement ad paid for and authorized by the Michael Tautznik campaign. This misleading ad implies an endorsement when there was none.
